FredComm worked with Clay County Public Health (CCPH) and its regional partners in the Smoke-Free Air for Everyone (SAFE) Coalition to heighten awareness regarding the dangers of secondhand smoke exposure and encourage grassroots activism. Over a two-year period, we used the anniversaries of the adoption of a smoke-free workplace ordinance in Moorhead, Minn. as a platform for educational and grassroots organizational campaigns aimed at strengthening and extending the ordinance.  Read more …

When Alfunz and his merry friends took over Laffalot (a.k.a. MeritCare Children’s) on the 4th floor of MeritCare Medical Center (now Sanford Health) in Fargo, N.D., FredComm was there to spread the word. The newly remodeled Children’s Hospital featured colorful, playful and light-hearted animal characters and environments created by a local artist whose daughter had spent many months in a children’s hospital several years before.
